This is one of the most precious pieces of the the Archidiocesan Collections of Kalocsa – Library of the Cathedral, Hungary in respect of book painting. The codex was made for liturgic use, it contains illuminated initials and page edge illuminations of high artistic value.
About the facsimile edition
This edition was made in size and binding same to the original. The pages were highquality printed on paper, the illuminated initials were handgilded after digital printing. Pages sewed manually on ribs and bound in genuine leather with copper clasps.
Original edition: Prága or Krumlov, around 1438.
